The Hostess With the Mostest!
Available for installation September 2016
Based on a collection of vintage aprons dating between 1940-1970, this fun exhibit looks at the role of hostessing and the apron-as-accessory phenomena that took root in the 1800s and peaked in the 1950s. With insights from noted interior designer and “Entertaining is Fun” author Dorothy Draper, we’ll compare “emergency entertaining rations” from 1941 with today as well as explore the roots of hostessing etiquette.
Amazing in its keenness and apt design
Thank you!
